CENTRAL BUSINESS SOLUTIONS HOSTS ITS 3RD ANNUAL TECHNOLOGY EXPO

Shea Stadium
August 7, 2007

Central Business Solutions hosted its third annual technology exposition at Shea Stadium to benefit The United Way and Several of The United Way's young ladies and gentlemen. Damien Mc Clave donated $2,000.00 to The United Way and brought The United Way children that were in attendance onto the field to witness the NY Mets and the Atlanta Braves batting practice. Following batting practice, the children were able to talk to the players and get autographs from them.

The Network Place showcased one of its software developments, a fully scalable document management system called DocMan that can satisfy the needs of any size business, from a one-man operation to the largest of corporations.

VACAMAS PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH

JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 142
"NY METS GAME"

On August 7th 2007, Vacamas Teen Opportunity Program departed from Junior High School 142 with ten children and 4 chaperones to Shea Stadium in Queens, New York. Central Business Solutions (CBS) and the United Way sponsored the trip.

When we were told that we had received this opportunity to participate in this trip I was excited for the children, as they are all huge baseball fans. The children contacted for this trip were all-willing to attend and called frequently in anticipation of attending the game. As the day neared, we were told that the students would get the chance to meet players and go onto the field for the pre-game warm-up. Along with that, the children would be served food, drinks and have the opportunity to represent Vacamas and the United Way as a check would be donated to the United Way.

Upon arrival for the day's events, we were whisked ahead of the crowd to the side entrance of Shea where the kids were treated like VIP's and fed in buffet-like manner in skybox seats. The kids were absolutely amazed at the sight of some of their favorite players on the field practicing, and couldn't wait to meet them in person.

Shortly after eating snacks and soda, the kids were brought to the field for batting practice where they were able to receive autographs from Atlanta Brave players and see Shea from a player's point of view. The students kids were amazed at all of the attention that the players got; and for that day, them too. They truly felt like royalty and were catered to during the entire game, thanks to the CBS crew.

As the night came to an end and the students sat outside waiting for a few last autographs from the players as they departed the stadium, the most fulfilling moment for us came from one of the boys named Ali, who had some trouble all year in school. As he got into the van before the other students, he gave me a hug, looked at Shea one last time and looked at me with a big cheesy smile and simply said thanks.

On behalf of our "Top 142 Vacamas Kids" and Vacamas Programs for Youth, we thank you! These opportunities make all the difference in the world to our children.
